Happy Easter!

It is really hard to be 2000 miles from your family on the holidays and I was feeling very sad about being here for another holiday without family, so after church on Sunday, Paul surprised Kennedy and I with a brunch at a great restaurant in Madison! It was very thoughtful and very unexpected (he never does anything like that :-). It actually turned out to be a great day weather-wise too...60 degrees with no wind! After brunch, we were able to sit outside and enjoy the weather while Kennedy ran on the lawn and played on the benches.

Saturday in Madison

This past Saturday we drove up to Madison to meet Monte & Beth McIntyre for lunch. Monte used to be the cheesemaker in Point Reyes where he worked with Paul for quite a few years and now makes cheese for Swiss Valley in Wisconsin. Small world!! It was great to see familiar faces and catch up with them!

We also went to Beth's favorite nursery in Madison. They didn't have much selection because the cold season is lasting so long, but it was still nice to be there and Kennedy had a great time in the wagon!

31 Week Update

My belly has been measuring small through this pregnancy (which it did with Kennedy), but at my 31 week appointment I hadn't made very much progress and was measuring 4 weeks too small, so my doctor suggested we do an ultrasound to make sure the baby was growing sufficiently and that there was enough fluid. The ultrasound gave us great news...the baby is actually measuring big, there is plenty of fluid and the baby is head down...yay!! My technician also told me he knew the sex of the baby; it was really hard not to find out, especially since Paul wasn't there :-).

Mason August Sanchietti

Paul's sister, Jenny, and her husband, Mark, brought this beautiful little boy into the world on Monday, April 18th. He weighed 6 lbs 3 oz and measured 20 inches long. We haven't been able to meet him yet, but we did Skype with them while they were in the hospital and he looks adorable. It is so exciting...Kennedy has a cousin! We can't wait for them to meet in May!

30 Weeks...

Not much to report....just wanted to give an updated belly shot.

Oma's Visit

My mom, Kennedy's Oma, came out for a visit earlier this month. The goal of the trip...FINISH decorating and improving the house. We did get a lot done, but we aren't finished by any means. There are still a lot of things to get done before baby number 2 arrives and I really hope I have everything in order by then. When Kennedy was born our house was in utter chaos due to renovating and I hope this time will be different!

However, it wasn't all work while Oma was here...she also got to spend a lot of time snuggling and hanging out with Kennedy too; Kennedy loved having her here as much as I did!

Thank you mom for all of your help...hopefully our project will be complete when you are out in June!

Jenny's Baby Shower

Also when we were out in California in March we went to two of Jenny's baby showers. Here are pictures from one of them. It was so nice to get to see everyone and get Jenny ready for her new arrival!

Kennedy loved helping Auntie Jenny open her gifts!

She thought they were all for her!

Kennedy didn't like sharing her Grandma with cousin Kayla!

Or her Auntie Stacey!

The pregnant sister-in-laws...me at 25 weeks, Jenny at 33.

The girls...Stacey, Kennedy, me, Sharon, Trisha and Jenny.

Wesley & Spencer's Birthday Party

These are also some old pictures...but, better late than never right?! These are from Wesley & Spencer's (Paul's 3rd cousins) birthday party when we were out in California in March. Kennedy absolutely loved the party mix they had out to eat, but wasn't so sure about the bounce house :-).

Snowmobiling in South Dakota

I was uploading pictures from a camera we rarely use and came across these pictures...Paul went on a snowmobiling trip back in February in Rapid City, South Dakota. He went with my brother, my uncle, the guys who haul our milk (Zimmerman Transfer; good guys with a great last name :-) and a few other gentlemen. They had a great time and even did a little sightseeing. He thankfully came home uninjured and already planning their trip for next year!

Spring is TRYING to spring...

Yesterday we had an absolutely gorgeous day...it got up to 55 degrees!!! The sun was out and it wasn't windy, so to us Californians it felt like 70. We decided to take advantage of this since the weather keeps teasing us with glimpses of Spring and took Kennedy to one of the parks in Brodhead. She had a great time! She is such a little daredevil; she wanted to go down the slide ONLY by herself, she had no fear of trying anything and she not only wanted to touch the water, but she wanted IN the river. It was so much fun to watch her enjoying time outside!

Happy Belated St. Patrick's Day!

Paul went to Spring Training in Arizona with some college friends, so he missed St. Patrick's Day and my birthday with us, but my sister Caitlin came out to keep us company while he was gone. It was very nice to have her here...we had a great time lounging, shopping and eating out!

Here are a couple pictures taken on St. Patty's Day. In this belly shot I am 26 weeks. I am now 28 weeks...this pregnancy is seriously flying by!!! I can't believe I have less than 12 weeks to go!

Kennedy walking in heels...

I know it has been a LONG time since our last update, but we really haven't been up to much. A few weeks ago we went out to California to go wedding dress shopping with Jillian (all the pictures we took have "the" dress in them, so we can't post those :-) and went to two of Jenny's baby showers (waiting on those pictures, since I forgot my camera again!). As always, we had fabulous time and it was very hard to leave!

While we were in San Francisco we took a wedding dress shopping break to go shoe shopping in Macy's and Kennedy loved it! She was hilarious in these shoes...
